I like power surfing on this wave. A lot of rail commitment and spray. Not modern era obviously!
Except Filipe's wave, I just can't fathom the rest being dubbed as perfect rides. Even Filipe's wave is at best a low 9.

I don't think any of those waves deserved a 10, couple of good 9's by the men, but the women's waves were nowhere near it, even by the much lower judging standards applied to women. Their turns were average on great waves, no criticality that the men produced, I don't think you should show them side-by-side they're completely different leagues.

Those men were nowhere near the power vision and sheer dynamic precision that the women showed, the men’s scores would b a good 7 or 8 if they competed w the women
