This is a video of us and our friends surfing 8-10 ft (15ft faces) Hollow Trees (otherwise known as Lance’s right) in the Mentawai’s. The footage was shot on the 31st August when the world famous right-hander was greeted by a large westerly swell accompanied by light winds, producing perfect glassy barrels. The winds held off the entire day and the swell stuck around, making for one of the best days, and some of the best waves, in recent memory!

Yeeewww! Thanks for all the support. Just to clarify the 15ft in the thumbnail is referring to the wave face not wave size. Locals reckon it was about 8ft surf. Glad you all enjoyed the video. Subscribe for more!
Such a sick vid, love the raw footage

Ooof! I felt that first fall.
Perfect waves! The squids just can't paddle in unbelievable! Tubes catch them! Whoops!
I'm always amazed that so many people under 30 can afford to travel to remote surf spots such as this!
The goofy footers are tearing it up.
Like a wave pool, every set pitch perfect. Insane.
This looks absolutely cancerous with all those people.

Reaaaallly want to surf this wave….. Absolutely sick no grab backside by whoever at the end
Man I wish I could surf.
Great to see the guy at the end get a backhand barrel without grabbing the rail and sitting on his backside.
What an awesome session. It's crazy how much power is coming from deep water to that reef. Many places around the world clip some of the power and speed by the time the wave actually starts breaking. (Think the US East Coast's continental shelf…) I also can't help but think of Lance, back when he was "forced" to surf sessions like that by himself for months on end….
I also like this with no added music. The natural sound of the wind and waves and rain is all you need. Maybe the sound of a board shredding a wave, but that would be hard to catch unless you are really close.

Livin your best life legends!
That guy sitting inside had the right idea, a lot of those were pinching off! Great video.
Mentawai Sumatera barat,, Indonesia 😎😎
I guess there's no need to fight over a wave when every wave is a perfect barrel!
