This was the second huge swell in the space of a week to hit Bali, and it was even bigger than the first. Probably the biggest waves seen at Uluwatu in recent years and definitely the biggest I’ve ever witnessed firsthand …anywhere.
The guy towing caught some incredibly long rides covering almost the entire length of the reef, and there were a few hardy paddle guys giving it a go, dodging the massive, shifty clean up sets and the river like sweep.

Uauuu, the first one its a great moment of surf. Well done. 👍👍👍
PS : and that guy, chaising the ski 😂😂😂
I've seen others make this comment on your videos, and I'm going to chime in too. Thanks for giving us "pure" video with the sounds of the location itself. No horrible music, no bulls**t narration, just dang good video!!
I wonder who that bodyboarder is
#grammar #minorerrors #his. Should read the "late GREAT… "
Maroubra kneelo, the late Albert Whiteman had many EPIC solo sessions at solid Uluwatu, 18ft plus, some very similar sized day's to this on the longest kneeboard I've ever seen, I nicknamed it "Big Blue"… he had photo – sequences and some limited VHS footage of one particular day I know of. He had some great pic's around the walls of the Friar Tuck – Knormal shop/shaping H.Q. at Byron, circa 1986… Dave Parkes and Mark "Mono" Stewart would aptly testify to this. He would paddle out on his own, he was an absolute freak and seeing Uluwatu at this size being tackled really reminds me of gis spirit, may his soul rest in peace. Kudos and TOTAL respect for the guy's out there, especially the minute plus ride @0:45 and the near 90" ride @6:26… just ball's to the wall stuff. Good on yer's! Kindest regards 🙂
Ride of life
INCREDIBLE!
メガでもいい形!
Can't wait to get something similar hopfully this upcoming dry season!
This guy from russia, his name dolphin
Amazing thing to witness but a shame none of the guys were able to paddle into any of those waves.
What tf is that guy on a body board doing out there?!? What a beast! He must be from New Zealand…
paddle out pussies
Two years after, and the first guy is still riding that wave!
Now that's a wave
These waves seem to go forever giving these guys the rides of their lives! I love these Bali videos!
lol last guy ended up getting destroyed
This must be close to setting a record for the longest ride on a big wave.
Thanks for video
Would like to have seen Kai Lenny on that tow board laying some serious rail. Huge waves, though.
That last ride!
