Social media killed localism and uncrowded surfing. Life was better before the internet and cell phones.

I've been surfing for 40 years and it used to be so much fun, but now when I get ready to surf feel like I'm getting ready to brawl. I mean, you always had to be willing to fight for your waves if it came to that, but now it's just full-on.

Those would be such fun waves if like 80% less people were there

I always wonder how often people get hit in the head by the tip of the surfboard.
Like your flying through everything.
But i never seen or hear of anyone getting hit
So im like maybe it gets deflected somehow

When I was a kid in Arizona, I used to go to this water park with artificial waves called Big Surf. It was literally shoulder to shoulder, but we somehow managed to boogie board.
