Bouldering around the Central Coast about 1.5 hours north of Sydney, Australia. This was filmed as part of a 2-week trip to Sydney and the Central Coast. The goal of this trip was to climb by the seaside as it was scorching! We spent most of our days laying on rocks, hiding in the shade, sitting in rock pools, and watching the waves crash by the shore. Definitely not a bad existence and a much nicer experience in Summer than sitting in a forest surrounded by dense trees…

This line stand-starts and traverses leftward to connect with the sidepull crimp on The Aquarius (V5) before mantelling. The lip shouldn’t be used for your hands until you use the sidepull, if you want the grade. I thoroughly enjoyed working on this climb as the holds are beautifully weathered sandstone and it requires a tricky array of heels and toe hooks. The only downsides are the somewhat contrived nature of the climb and the annoying dab rock, but nonetheless, I gave this climb a solid 2 out of 3 stars.
