This is Rodrigo Koxa’s World Record Setting wave of 24.4 meters (80 feet). The World Record was set in Nazare, Portugal. I had the pleasure of filming Rodrigo surf some massive waves while I was out there. I added my other footage to this video to show you guys what Rodrigo is capable of! He is a true waterman, and a total beast!

Does anyone notice a bird flying along just in front of the crest of the 80-foot wave? I thought it was a drone, but upon close inspection it looks like a bird to me. What do you see?
Definitely those guys have balls of steel… Max size of a surfable wave for me is 3-5m, no more than this… So much respect. Hope to be able to be there this year in Oct.-Nov. to see this great spectacle "man × power of nature"

The jet ski dudes are the heroes!! Tow in surfing is crazy easy to get into the wave. Still an amazing ride, balls of steel.
