Ballina is an enigma for surf, it somehow draws in any swell that’s out there even when its like a lake in Byron Bay or on the Gold Coast. In July 2021 a heavy Southerly ground swell headed north up the east coast of Australia and Ballina’s swell magnet scored some fun surf.
