In this weather outlook we take a look at a low pressure area bringing the chance of some heavy rain and damaging winds to coastal areas of New South Wales and Queensland, and the chance of some snow in Tasmania. We also take a look at a good cold front that could impact WA next weekend, and then a typhoon that is beginning development in the Philippine Sea.

Thanks again Josh for another indepth and informative presentation. 👌🏽
Thanks mate, great information.
This TC near the Philippines is good news that it could pull down the +ve IOD. That would be awesome to break that upper Ridge for WA.
I'm firming on your winter call, looks more likely for the polar jet to trough deeper north as we go through winter.
In oberon, looking for a fair chance of sat morning flurries. The 850 mbar temps between zero to -1 as this front passes.
It will be cold enough but will we get any precipitation?
Always got around lunchtime when the sun is out. I was in the garden 15 minutes and it was burning.
Yesterday there was a massive rainbow at Trinity Beach after the morning rain. Then there was another rainbow at Holloways beach in the afternoon rain. Im pretty lucky I get to go through the beaches area to see all the rainstorms and rainbows. It was raining last night. Its been raining on and off since day break. Very dark and cloudy at the moment. Yesterday morning I saw a wild wallaby in the rain as I was walking down hill. Poor little thing got spooked and dashed into the trees. I tried to look for it but it must have been camouflaged pretty well. I got the day off so im just sitting here enjoying the sound of the rain on the tin roof and the sound of the wind in the trees. Might make myself a hot Milo.
