The coast used to be sand full of lugworm with a few patches of rocks , now it it all bedrock with a few patches of sand not deep enough to dig lug , it's basically all gone , very sad but still nice bass and smooth hound along the beach at goring

Haven't wasted my time fishing there since the 90s even then it was bull heads weavers occasional plaice the odd gar. Found the bream prefer the pavilion end off the shore.
The other anglers leaving meant nothing other than they’d had enough. Your initial enthusiasm was quite funny, the Bream and Bass you were going to catch, not to mention all those Conger massing around the structure just awaiting your cast! What did you catch again?

Hello what a great time I have had watching your videos 😊 they have been very good with info and a good character to watch too. I'm looking for a rod and real for the beach in Eastbourne but trying to find something for an all year round jobby is there such thing and have you had a chance to look at a sufblaster 3 yet I would ask a tackle shop but seems that alot dont like the surfblaster because it's only the name 😂 do you have any views on it. I'm also looking at about 14ft rod 2 piece to be preferred and ones that would say match a surfblaster 3
The reef you mention runs from Worthing in the east, where it is a little over 4 miles offshore, where it is known as Kingmere, to Bognor in the west, although in parts there are significant gaps. As it runs west, it gets nearer to the coast, curving north as it nears Bognor, where it meets land.
I think you have also moved Newhaven a few miles west, to Littlehampton!😊
If you dropped a GoPro you would be able to show how populated that pier is.
I used to visit Worthing Pier regularly for photographing sunsets, never saw anyone catch anything significant.
Also, when i worked ar a local hotel, we used to get all our fish from local boats, those operating within the local fishing industry gave up within a very few years.
There wasnt enough fish to catch soon after joining the Common Market, even less when it changed to the EU, due to all the extra regulatory restrictions.
I was hoping a vote for Reform might bring into focus our national interests, but we've got another WEF puppet government, thanks to all those people who have forgotten or never felt what it is to be British.
Hi Matt. I'm travelling around south coast. We are from Sheffield but we are in dymchurch at the moment travelling across from east to west in our camper. Looking to catch some mackerel in Hastings. Hopefully it's the right time to have a go. Any recommendations greatly appreciated 👍

Used to fish here almost every day when I could as a kid late 80s / early 90s. Dustbin lid plaice wasnt uncommon. Eels on the edge of the muck about 1m or water. Congers much rarer back then , did hook one which was talk of the town for a few weeks but it stripped my hook on the winch up – lesson learnt. So many good memories . Great video.
Sea fishing in the UK is very hard going, but we love it!
Only wish Hastings Pier was still as it was. Spent my Childhood on there in the Early 70s. Fishing was fantastic.

If your going to go again .phone prime angling . They will tell you how it's been fishing and what has been getting caught . 4 hours up and 2 down is best . And a weekday is always a better option.
