I actually injured myself on Humunga Cowabunga with the exact same leg thing but it hit the side of the slide and i hurt my ankle instead. (Im a boy just so you know)

i went to the calypso and got two minor injuries i got my back scratched up and felt like it burnt on a water slide, and i got both my feet injured (scratched+minor cuts) in the wave pool

I went into a wave pool once as a kid and even as a dumb trusting child I was like "I feel like I'm drowning and no one is gonna notice cause there's hundreds of people and I am very small" so I got out.

I wasn't a strong swimmer but I also kept getting thrown into other people. It just seems like a terrible idea from start to finish. A bunch of people in a big ol pot of soup, sloshing around and crashing into each other with at most like 2 teenagers kind of watching who couldn't save you if they noticed you're drowning, which they won't cause you'll be lodged between a bunch of toddlers and old people on their innertubes. 2/5 stars

Never was a fan of those really tall, steep waterslides. Rode one of them one time when I was about 16 years old and didn’t enjoy it. The other kind of slides, though, are a lot of fun. I’m talking about the winding, gently inclined slides with the high banked turns and stuff like that.

I fractured my spine at a waterpark in Bail!! I flew out of the half pipe slide going over a bump. I flew into the air and landed on my back, over the side rail of the slide!!
Nearly could not walk again, but after much rehab, I am ok now. Back is still stuffed and healed funny, so may need surgery soon. 😢

Before that, when I was a kid, at a waterpark/adventure park here in Australia, it was another half pipe one, I went up a curve on the slide, and just kept going right over the edge!! Luckily it was near the round at that point, and rolled down the hill. Others were not so lucky on the slide. I think one person died. The same park had one of those cement track, toboggan down hill things, like the Alpine slide in this vid. So many people went flying off that, tumbling down the hill or smashing off the cart onto the track as it could flip!!

I was at Siam Park I'm Tenerife on one of their "toilet" slides. The raft my friend and I were on got wedged on the raised section between the bowl and the exit tube and got stuck sideways over the exit. We couldn't get it to turn back round forwards, so much so my friend got out and stood up to try and get the raft pointing the right way. Then we saw another raft entering the bowl and we just took the decision to go out backwards to avoid a collision. The raft also flipped as it hit the pool at the bottom. Thankfully no significant injuries

I used to go to a water park called Wet N Wild (Its now closed down)when I was a kid and I used to love one of the water slides called "The Blast" well during one of my goes on it I hit the pool too hard and flipped off my tube. I ended up at the bottom of the pool which I have no clue how deep it was all I know is I started swimming in the direction that I thought was up. It didn't feel like I was making it any closer to the surface.

I remembered a trick from when I tried to learn to SCUBA dive which is look to see which direction the bubbles are going and go that way. But the way the ride was set up there were bubbles every where so it was hard to tell. I decided to keep trying the direction I went and kept kicking. Right as I was about to run out of air I broke the surface and grabbed on to one of the decorations to catch my breath. As I was gasping for air the life guard on duty for that ride was like "You can't hang on that dude!" To which I shouted "I ALMOST DROWND MOTHER FUCKER LET ME CATCH MY BREATH!" I know that it wasn't any less than a minute I was down there but it felt like an eternity and I still have nightmares about that moment.
