Petrel Cove below the Victor Harbor Bluff is a frequently visited spot for surfers. Its is also noted for its dangerous rips and the cove is well sign posted warning against swimming here. In the past it has claimed the lives of several surfers.

My Dad nearly drowned there when I was a kid while he was saving a lady caught in the rip.
