To think I used to surf this wave when I lived on the Goldy 20 years ago on weekdays when it was firing with only a handful of other surfers to be seen ain’t to bad of a memory. I would have to say TOS at over 6 foot packs some of the heaviest wipeouts when it is barrelling super hollow and sucky ripping the sand right off the bottom. I remember buying a board from Coolangatta a ( Bourton ) i first rode on TOS and damn best board I ever owned. I was a shit surfer but that damn board and TOS made me Into the crippled middle aged man I am today, no regrets. P.s I heard the young hard as beanbags young paragraph’s (not the full essays or is it eshays) have stairs there now to get outta the water, No wonder the countries stuffed. And yes it’s true, the sands always Golder on the TOS when it’s just you and the Bullsharks and the great whites that cruise in and out of the Seaway at times.
Southport island😎 this was the fastest ive ever been on a wave one day. I was going right to get to a mate near the pipe, and i was going so fast i couldn't get down the wave. It was like a never ending floater🤙
