The Kelly Slater Wave Company Surf Ranch, also known as Slater’s wave, is a 20-acre surfing amusement park in Lemoore, California, amid the farmland of the state’s Central Valley. It’s not the first man-made wave park, but it’s the most powerful: The wave reaches speeds of 20 mph and heights of 8 feet, making it a capable host for competitions like the World Surf League Championship Tour. In time, controlled environments like Slater’s wave may become the norm for surfing competitions.
Customers pay $10,000 to surf for an hour, so it’s no surprise that the Surf Ranch boasts a celebrity clientele: Chris Hemsworth, Drew Brees, Tony Hawk, Shaun White, and Eddie Vedder have all caught waves there.

I know that building your surf ranch cost a lot of$$$$$$ and I know that you want to get whatever you put into it and more ,$10K per hour are you needing all the money back in a few months ? Maybe to get a loan and to get permits for construction,site approval would have been harder and more expensive if you said it was a surf ranch for you and your friends . So you have a business that is open to the public but with those prices it is actually a private ranch for you and people you know.

Surfing has become the global warming sport of the world! Where you can now gobble up more electricity than 10,000 homes just to get yourself a cute little man-made wave. Then you can drive your big truck up and down the coast looking for good surf while gobbling up tons of gasoline and then get on an airplane and gobble up jet fuel to fly all over the world to catch excellent surf while a gasoline guzzling JetSki tows you into the surfline and a jet fuel sucking helicopter flies above to take photographs. Damn that is one hell of a global warming ego if you ask me!
