Hawaii’s latest XXL Swell took everyone by surprise on Friday morning the day after Thanksgiving. It was so big and unruly that it was nearly impossible to paddle out at the outer reef spots. Waimea was forecasted 30-40 ft by Surfline at one point with some talk about people witnessing waves as big as 50 ft. similar to what we witnessed during the Eddie Aikau Event last January 22, 2023. The early morning was definitely the biggest and the swell was too big for Pipeline or Sunset Beach to handle. This North Shore Winter season is off to a big start and we’re very excited to see what lies ahead. Surf photographers have to make a living too especially trying to pay off the equipment we invested in to get your clips in the first place. We’re extremely busy and you are basically paying photographers for their time because it’s a task to prepare clips and email them out.

Social Media Etiquette:
If you use a photographer’s media without their knowledge and don’t tag them or give them the credit they deserve, that’s stealing and messed up. Be grateful for your clips and do the right thing.
