Every winter Lucas Dirkse heads south of the border to his childhood home in Baja Sur. He spends the months surfing, fishing, and cooking. In essence, recharging his batteries before heading back to the hustle and bustle of Southern California the following year.

And every year he returns with wild stories of the things he experienced. Waves discovered, exotic fish caught, and incredible sights seen, typically without photographical evidence.

This year we gave him a Go Pro and asked him to capture what he can.

He returned with a few full memory cards. He doesn’t own a computer, so he had no idea what was on them, and asked if we could help him make an edit. Enjoy.
