A father of two is fighting for his life after being attacked by a great white shark at Watonga Rocks on Lighthouse Beach.
The surfer wrestled the shark for 30 seconds before making it to the beach where a remarkable stroke of luck has given him a chance of survival.

The Labor party must admit that it has failed to protect innocent lives at the beach, the cover up must be exposed and the minister responsible should be charged with crimes against humanity, thrown into jail and never released. Go the sharkies.
I think most beaches should have an emergency first aid kit including an approved tourniquet available for shark attack situations. They can be located at the entrance to beaches, the same as defibs are readily available. Providing care for massive haemorrhage injuries needs to be taught to the standard CPR is.

This is a man hunter 4 meter plus great white. It's the same shark that attacked and killed a surfer up at Tuncurry by taking part of his leg same as this attack. I believe it's the same shark that attacked Simon Nellist at little Bay and ate him first taking his legs only 9 months after the Tuncurry fatality just 2-3hrs up the coast.
Hope he pulls through OK.
We don't know how many other people it's taken either. It can potentially migrate as far up as New Guinea and as far across as New Zealand and as far South as South Australia being one of the Eastern population of Great Whites.
