Wait, did Kai say that Nazare has only been discovered in the last 8 years? Because in the 1990s, it was made sort of famous to the public in the movie Point Break. I went back to see if he said "80" years, but I still heard "eight".

Holy shit! In some of the first surf footage, somewhere in the first 5 minutes, he gets launched out the front from the explosion of the lip! That looked deadly violent! It's lucky he wasn't hurt. And shortly after, the launch off the lip out the back was a good 50 feet in the air! Crazy!

A good few years back there was a documentary called step into liquid.
Hydrofoil-ing big waves is introduced there by some other legends. Its great to see that Kai's passion has brought him to explore this as well.
