Welcome to this Byron Bay vlog, a charming surf town in New South Wales, perfect for your first surfing lesson, with pristine beaches, a warm climate and a special lighthouse walk, this Australian town was so special and chill!
Byron Bay is a tourist favourite in Australia and whilst I was apprehensive at first, I can completely understand why and I actually extended my stay there! I stayed at the famous Wake Up! hostel in Byron Bay right by the beach and it was perfect with free surf board rental and a shuttle service every hour into the town, I couldn’t have stayed anywhere better, particularly if you are a budget or student traveller!

So what to do in Byron Bay…
– Byron Bay lighthouse walk including the most easterly point of mainland Australia! And so for me, the most easterly point of the world!! This is such a nice walk and takes around 60 minutes to walk, with views overlooking the sea and the entirety of Byron Bay it was so special.

– Shopping and food culture! I was so suprised to see what Byron Bay had to offer in terms of shopping and food. It was really nice although definitely catered towards more luxury travellers!

– SURFING LESSON – if you come to Byron Bay, this is ESSENTIAL! No surfing experience is required and the conditions are very friendly for those who cannot swim or are nervous about those big waves. I have never surfed before and I do not like deep water and so it was one of the best things I did in Australia. Although I wasn’t very good! And I hope you enjoy that comedy sketch in the video!

SO…Byron Bay. Essential? Absolutely. See you there!
