TERROR VAULT | Part 2 Mad Moments & Wipeouts

I have spent a good part of my life filming this freak of nature and i have to say its one of most intense, most dangerous waves on the planet.
The Right in South Western Australia picks up monster swells that pound that part of the coastline, especially from April till October. The wave works on a shallow piece of reef about 1 kilometre off the coast. When the waves hit from the right direction, they create huge barrels that pour over and if you become victim, the wave will take you down deep. Deep enough to blow your ears out like so many of the surfers that have been brave enough to take it on.
The Right is darn right WRONG!

Whoa! Mesmerizing … there’s big waves… I get that.. then there is really BIG waves and I get that… but these ocean floor waves are freaky big, and the wipe outs our other worldly! Respect my brothers, respect!

The most impressive and beautiful surf-video I have seen.
So much water being pushed so hard and fast this wave gives no fucks where you think its going to break no matter where you look its breaking and just when you think your position is perfect in the slot the wave forms another then 3 more faces start breaking all around you leaving you no out other than smashed & sucked over the falls. From absolute perfection to disaster before you can blink… my toes curled and my thighs cramped just watching this video.. No where to run…

FORGET PIPELINE, THIS IS THE ULTIMATE TEST,
the ones with more west in them are actually beautiful and almost make-able. the ones with more south in them I wouldn’t go within a 50m radius, that warble is a full on death trap. that thing isn’t even a wave that’s just the most powerful washing machine in the world, no idea how more people don’t die out there.
Watching this made me feel as though the devil had taken over the water and simply wanted to destroy the surfers , sending them to hell.

RESPECT. That's all I can say. I got knocked out by a wave circa 1996 El Nino at the Wedge Newport Beach and to see this… man..
This activity is just senseless and dumb.
If somebody is willing to do an activity in which theres a high risk of dying….why choose a meaningless activity like "surfing"???
Why risk your life sliding down waves one after another, standing in a hard surface pointy piece of polyuretane foam covered in resin, leashed to one leg…..when there are activities that are more important and meaningful like being a firefighter, or a member of the coast guard etc. In which you put your life at risk aswell, but with a noble cause of saving other people lives.
That was so scary to watch, I cannot imagine the courage needed to even think of doing it.
how many "minutes" should one be able to hold breath in one of these wipeouts? seriously…

My favorite of the series. Shipstern's has the steps, but this wave. If I hadn't see a few of the guys that made it, I'd say it was unrideable, even towing in. There are some waves, where the guys are in the slot & a second lip appears & destroys them. Some guys are too high & get sucked up & over, some are too low & get hit by the guillotine. And then there's some that do things perfectly & WHAMMO, they get blasted by spray or the wind knocks em off their board. It's like this wave is alive, doesn't want to be tamed, & with a little flick send a grown man 30-40 feet in the air.
Hats off to every one of the chargers, drivers & filmers. Didja notice the people bundled up in winter coats?? That's some cold water there fellas.

Fell awkwardly in the flats in max 3 foot surf on the weekend and have a bruise on my side twice that of my head Bahahaha. How are they not folded, ears blown out, n reduced to human jello!! Goddam Hellmen!!!!!
